I really connect with the photographic world of Luke Smalley, who unfortuneately died at the age of 53 earlier this year. I remember when my comrades from school invited me home for the first time, how much I wanted them to like me in that way.. Sitting on their bed listening to their favourite records and eating warm buns served by their mothers.

Lukes pictures reminds me of that intimacy. And then the gymnastics lessons in school - how I loved to see the same guys in their training gear... and then in the showers afterwards - admiring their bodies but at the same time terrified of getting a hard on under the steaming waters.. I was sent these beautiful series by Netherlands brand SEBASTIC. Designer Sebastian Kramer used the myth of the incredibly beautiful Adonis (I think he has found one in model Jorian at Brooksmodels) as inspiration for his collection which is strongly focused on underwear/lingerie for men, a collection which they consider to be the first high-end menswear label with a focus on those kinds of garments. How cool is that? I love the slouchy silhouettes of the tops, and the half see trough materials used. And the colors are exquisite! I am waiting for their collection to reach the stores - and I am dreaming that they someday will be making longstockings!

I wanted to create a post about true beauty. And I found something in these androgyenous guys with looks like the people the old masters portrayed. I often find it facinating how some of the most recogniced models, male and female, are at their best when they melt into something inbetween the sexes. Like Andrey Korovko has something of Aline Weber in his grace, or how the fair Florian resembles Supremes new find, stunner Dari. George Vostok is beautiful in the same way as Pradas new campaign girl Ymre Stiekema to. I recently discovered Lina Scheynius art (trough some ones blog which I do not remember) which is like diaries of her life. I love the pictures of this guy in which I presume is her boyfriend, vulnerable in between sheets, sensual in his expressions and gracious in the shadows of the night exploring his most beautiful part. She manages to create something so universal and honest. What is underneath is simply beautiful.

This portrait by The Sartorialist made me think of the Austrian Expressionist Egon Schiele`s exquisite drawings. I imagine that this boy must have the perfect face for a painter to recreate - beautiful big eyes, oval shaped face, the aristocratic hair and the vulnerable expression. The aesthetics of this series of Iso from Request Models lenced by Adrian Gaut is exquisite. The balance of the colours with blue hues, vibrant red and grey shades, and the brilliant styling with layers of striped and checked garments is just perfect. The way he uses the location and the shadows from the sun bring something filmatic to the scene.

I took some time of from work and vent to a music festival in Denmark. A part form enjoying some of my favourite artists I was lucky to view this nude run at Roskilde music festival last week. It feels kind of quirky to make this post, but I really feel that the winner, the 19 year old danish guy Mads Erik Bech is pure model material. And he really shows that he is competitive, which is a great property to make it big into modeling. I mean: look at all his expressions and the incredible body. His handsome smile and what is underneath.. a real man.

As I have seen the world from hotels during the last few weeks I imideately felt connected with the man in Laurie Bartlays series from a hotel room. He really capture the feeling of a certain loneliness you can feel when visiting a new city for the first time. This photographer always seeks up a special location to use as inspiration for the shoot. The colours that are created from the natural lights coming in from the windows or reflecting from the mirrors are exquisite. Like the colours of precious stones. Quite similar to the aesthetics you see in Wong Kari Wais film Happy Together.

Why is it more social acceptable for a woman to dress of completely in the fashionworld than a man? YSL statuated when dressing of in his iconic moment posing naked for his perfume adds in the year of 1971.

Lizz Collins made this hommage to YSL exposing another unique fashion icon Patric Petitejean.
A few years ago photographer Sølve Sundsbø brought it even further in the perfume adds for YSL in the Tom Ford days, by immortalizing the french martial arts athlete Samuel de Cubber in a full frontal nude. The add was only printed in ID , Dazed&Confuzed and French VOGUE by the way, while featured in a cropped version in the other glossies.. This is a ongoing discussion with no end it seems according to recent issues of VOGUE HOMME, GQ and ARENA homme+ etc - witch is good for what is underneath.

This image reminds me of my recent night out in a restaurant i Dehli - after the meal was over an elegant, turban wearing servant came to the table with a bowl of rose water and a mug with hot water to wash our hands in. This lovely guy got a bigger splash of rose water to wash his tucked up shorts, polkadot shirt and entire body in - imagine the smell of him afterwards. And thanks to photographer Terry Tsiolis for creating such a wonderful image!

Photographer Joseph Bleu and I are both in love with pastel shades and handsome guys. I love the way he has captured Patric (BASIC New York) in these pictures that he sent me - stretching and exposing every angle of his body. Imagine this day of work: Inviting a beautiful model to your apartment, telling him to dress of and put on some candy colored underwear that you have borrowed, comand him to lie down in your bed between blue and yellow sheets and start to work it.. It would be wonderfull.
